Reforms Summary
(Below is our
introduction to a series of blogs about the Jackson reforms).

As we've reported extensively on this site, the Jackson Report
recommendations, if implemented by the government, will have an
important impact on helping to contain the cost of car insurance
in
this country.
Indeed, so critical are these proposed reforms to the car insurance
industry and the motoring public in general that we've published a
report that presents all the key Jackson proposals, explaining their
context and the reactions of key stakeholders to them, especially the
government. The report provides our analysis of how these
recommendations will work in practice.
We also provide facts and figures in the report, offering a balanced
assessment of the likely winners and losers from these proposals. We
have tried to break through the spin and misrepresentation popular on
both sides of the debate to clarify the true situation and the most
pertinent issues.
The government has received the Jackson proposals with enthusiasm and
it is likely that much of what we present in our report will become
law. Our report makes an interesting read for stakeholders and members
of the public alike:
