Car Insurance Providers at the Car Insurance Supermarket
Here, you can access some of
the UK's largest and best-known car insurance
providers directly and
easily via our 'direct' section, which we link to above. We
have included most of the top brokers and direct car insurance
providers in the UK.
Included in the latter is the quality policy provider, Direct Line,
that you cannot access via any price comparison system but which
remains very popular with the UK public. It certainly carries our
quality endorsement and like for like, they are generally highly
competitive.
Another of our car insurance providers, indeed the most
popular direct choice here in terms of completed policy sales, is
M&S car insurance. They are a Defaqto award-winning
insurance service and have been found to be very cheap across most car
insurance groups by independent industry reseacher, Which? consumer magazine.
Other well-known car insurance providers here include women
only specialist Insurepink, young driver specialist Endsleigh,
multi-car specialist Admiral, older car specialist, Yes and many others
that offer a good balance between quality and price.
One advantage of going direct to one of our car insurance
providers instead of comparing quotes with an aggregator service, is
that it is easy to get policy information, the standard cover is
generally more inclusive, and you tend to be able to anticipate a
reasonably reliable level of customer service.
When you get quotes from car insurance providers through a
price comparison service, the emphasis is on low price rather than the
more inclusive policy features. In point of fact, getting detailed
policy information is not possible.
When you consider the problem described in the previous paragraph, it
is, perhaps, surprising that the UK public are so willing to allow
price, very often, to determine their policy choice without making a
proper assessment of the associated cover from the car
insurance providers they review.
Presumably more and more people that adopt this 'lowest price only'
approach are coming unstuck when they need to claim on their very
cheap, paired down policy and find that they have to meet some
significant costs relating to the accident themselves.
It follows, naturally enough, from the above argument, that there is
much to be said for the decison to look at top car
insurance providers direct, given the built-in quality control that
this provides to the UK motorist.
Cheap is cheerful as long as you don't need to claim on such a policy.
It otherwise is not cheap and is certainly not cheerful. Going direct
to car insurance providers is unlikely to significantly
increase your costs - the insurance industry, like-for-like is too
competitive for this to be the case - and it can certainly give you
peace of mind.
