The Green Insurance Company was founded in the summer of 2007 as a
'green' offshoot of the Kwik-Fit Insurance operation. Since that start
date, they have been able to grow their market share and they continue
to offset 100% of the carbon emissions generated by their car insurance
policy-holders, a unique service for any green-minded motorists.
The Green Insurance Company also pride themselves on providing
competitive deals despite the operating costs of carbon offsetting.
They only operate from the UK with their call centre in Uddington,
Scotland, consistent with their links to the Scottish based Kwik-Fit.
The Green Insurance Company, headed-up by Gaynor Wood, who expects it
to continue to grow as more motorists become willing to make
environmentally friendly consumer choices, continues to prove of
interest to users of this site.
The Government's own opinion surveys have shown that, in relation to
motoring, 72%
say that they are willing to change their behaviour to limit climate
change. However, the same research also shows that economising is
more important to them, indicating that the Green Insurance Company
will only prove to be a winning formula for most if they can provide
financial as well as environmental benefits to motorists.
