Car Insurance Quotes Hit by Economic Crisis

As new and used car sales hits an unpresidented low, a manufacturing slow down has been inevitable with the loss of tens of thousands of jobs in the car industry. Because fewer people ar changing their cars, a higher proportion are continuing with their existing insurer when their policy requires to be renewed.

The car insurance comparison industry has therefore also been hit. Search engine searches for 'car insurance', 'compare car insurance' and other related car insurance terms have been much lower than previous years for several months and websites such as this one have taken a hit as a result.

It is perhaps a little surprising that the public are not taking the opportunity to shop around when it comes to renewing their car insurance, given the general desire to tighten belts wherever possible.

The car insurance companies will be monitoring the seasonal rise in the uptake of car insurance that occurs during the spring months. If, as would be expected, sales of new policies remains depressed, then the public can anticipate some good car insurance deals in late spring as compaines try to recoup losses.

A massive increase in car and car insurance advertising, already heavily advertised products, can be anticipated. These are huge industries that are particularly sensitive to economic conditions.

Sites such as this will see some enhanced commission structures emerging as insurers work to minimise their drops in revenue by increasing their marketing exposure. Such steps will not significantly mitigate against the economic impact of the recession, however, until the public start to buy cars again. It may be some time until consumer confidence builds, while even where a car-purchase loan is agreed, it is difficult to get favourable financial terms.

No business sector is immune to the economic crisis, especially the car insurance industry.
