There is no other means to compare car insurance from so many companies and brokers with so little expenditure of time and effort. Nor is there any other way to stand such a good chance of finding just about the cheapest car insurance quotation around. Thus, from a price perspective, these services stand alone. Consequently, if getting a very cheap car insurance quotation is your wish, you know where to go - it has to be a car insurance comparison site every time. While these services may stand alone on (low) price, it cannot be said that they stand alone on helping you to easily get hold of a car insurance quotation that's linked to a quality motor insurance product. Their focus on price, despite their various efforts to inform you about policy features, precludes this for all practical purposes. What this means in practice is that going direct to a good insurance company with a substantial market share for a car insurance quotation maintains its merits. Even a cursory browse through some of the top car insurers that we list here (links below) shows that these car insurance providers tend to offer good cover - the sort of features you might want in an accident. These providers are not overly obsessed with car insurance quotation price cutting at the cost of providing a practically useful level of cover. As well-established providers, part of their brand popularity relates to offering a quality product. In our view, price comparison systems fail to support adequate quality control when you get a car insurance quotation through them. They're great at the budget end of the car insurance market, but they don't easily support and thus don't readily encourage seeking out a better level of cover.
